Hazal Eyletmez, known as Fade, is a Turkish bounty hunter turned one of the most unsettling recruits in the protocol. Her power is not about seeing through walls, it is about reaching what her targets would rather keep to themselves.
She handles a substance made of fear and nightmare, able to track one specific person rather than an area. She sold that gift for a long time: finding someone who does not want to be found is a skill that pays well, and Hazal made a trade of it before she made it a mission.
What led her to the protocol is a personal search she says almost nothing about. She is looking for someone. She uses the protocol's infrastructure to move that search forward, and her teammates know it perfectly well. Nobody worries about it too much: as long as she hunts the right people, the question of her motives can wait.
Fade sends out an entity that locks onto the first enemy it meets, chases them and nearsights them on impact.
Fade throws an orb of ink that bursts on the ground after a delay and traps the enemies caught in the zone, stopping them from leaving it by normal means.
Fade throws an orb that turns into a nightmarish entity revealing every enemy in its line of sight.
Fade releases a wave of energy that travels through walls, deafening the enemies it hits and revealing their position while decaying their health.
A lot of players send the Prowler straight ahead and watch it disappear into empty space. It is steered by aiming while it travels: keep control, turn it into the angle where you suspect someone is. One guided Prowler is worth three thrown at random.
The reveal lasts a few seconds, the trail left on the ground lasts far longer. That trail is what lets your Prowler lock onto its target and your team know where the enemy fell back to. Do not treat your Haunt as finished once the eye is destroyed, the information keeps living.
Its point is not damage but immobilizing. Dropped on the Spike as the enemy arrives to take the site back, it freezes players in place and makes them impossible to miss. It is the most profitable post-plant tool in the initiator role.
The ultimate marks and decays, but it kills nobody. If your team does not go in within the next few seconds, the effect fades with no consequence. Call it before you use it and cast it just before the execute, not to grab free information at the start of the round.
Fade holds a particular place among the initiators of Valorant: where Sova scans an area, she hunts people. Her eye reveals the enemies in its line of sight and leaves a lasting trail behind them, which her creatures can then follow on their own. The result is a kit that produces less raw information than Sova's, but information that is far more usable, since it tells you who is where and where that person is falling back to. Added in April 2022, she also carries a decisive advantage for intermediate players: not one of her abilities requires learning a single lineup.
Yes, in terms of picking her up. Sova gets most of his value from Recon Bolts whose trajectories have to be learned position by position, which means hours in the practice range before he is genuinely effective. Fade needs no lineup: her eye is simply thrown toward the site and her creatures are steered in real time. An intermediate player will therefore get good results far faster with Fade, even though Sova's ceiling stays very high once the lineups are down.
When the Haunt eye reveals an enemy, that enemy gets a mark on the ground that lasts well beyond the reveal itself. That trail has two uses. First it tells the whole team which direction the opponent moved in. Second and above all, it lets the Prowler lock onto its target automatically: a creature sent onto a fresh trail will chase the player concerned without Fade having to steer it. That is the central chain of the agent.
Straight on the Spike, or on the immediate angle the enemy will attempt the defuse from. The ability holds players in place, decays them and cuts their audio, which leaves them both immobile and unable to back out cleanly. A well placed Seize as the enemy team arrives to retake the site is often enough to win the round, even with no teammate alive to capitalize on it.
Hazal Eyletmez is a bounty hunter from Turkey with a power tied to fear and nightmares that lets her locate specific individuals. Before joining the VALORANT Protocol, she sold that ability to clients looking to find missing people. She is also pursuing a personal search she says almost nothing about, and it is that quest which explains her presence inside the organization.
